Make TWICE the impact this Library Giving Day!

Brooklyn Public Library (BPL) provides free access to books, technology, literacy programs and recreation that so many Brooklynites can’t otherwise afford. And thanks to the support of caring community members like you, BPL continues to inspire a lifelong love of learning for everyone in our borough, from toddlers to seniors.

Here at BPL, we’re gearing up for the sixth-annual Library Giving Day on April 3—a special chance to celebrate and strengthen the library you love.

Since we know you believe in the power of your local library, we’re excited to share that all gifts made now through April 3 will be MATCHED—dollar-for-dollar, up to 50,000—by a generous group of Library supporters.

Right now, your support is more critical than ever: You may be aware that BPL was forced to reduce our service hours from seven to six days a week, as well as drastically trim our new book purchases due to a painful mid-year city budget cut.

As we mobilize advocates to fight further reductions, we are also turning to friends like you who champion the Library through your generosity.

When you make a gift today, it will go twice as far to help BPL’s 60+ branches.

On behalf of all of us at BPL, thank you for your generous support at this important moment.

Sincerely,

Your friends at Brooklyn Public Library

P.S. Have you considered becoming a BPL Sustainer? It’s the most convenient way to support the library you love on a monthly basis. Choose a monthly amount that’s right for you and become a BPL Sustainer today!
